Our Completed Projects
Our company (AGRICS Ltd) or some of its staff members have worked in agricultural development projects and programmes being implemented or funded by several national and international development institutions and NGOs including SAII Associates, CNFA, USAID, NIRSAL, DFID, GIZ, IITA and BOPINC (Netherlands).
The following are some of the Projects we have successfully completed within the scheduled time. A final report was prepared for each of these projects and submitted to the project implementers.
Youths in Agribusiness (YAS). A 3-year training project funded by Kingdom of Netherlands and implemented in Nigeria by IITA and BOPINC (Netherlands) -- 2023 - 2025. A total of 15,000 youths received both technical and business training in poultry, aquaculture, horticulture, yam, cassava, soybean, groundnut and maize in four States (Kano, FCT, Ogun and Oyo) in Nigeria.
Identification and documentation of financially viable business models for the production, promotion, adoption and utilization of biochar among rice farmers in Benue and Nasarawa States. A 3-months project funded and implemented by GIZ (Nigeria) -- 2025.
Development and documentation of suitable business financing models for the cassava value chains. A 3-months project funded and implemented by GIZ (Nigeria) --- 2024.
"Access to Finance” of the YAS program for youths in Agribusiness. A 3-year project implemented by IITA/BOPINC (Netherlands) in which over 50 youths were supported with affordable loans of N6.5million by our partner, Suseed Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd -- (2023 - 2025).
Finance Coaching for Agri-Food Industry Organizations (AFIOs) under the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. A 2-year project implemented by BOPINC (Netherlands) for grants of $850,000 to 6 AFIOs (NAWIA, NSA, CODARAN, GGPMAN, TOPAN, and SWOFON) -- (2024 - 2025).
Training of Trainers for Farmers Groups under the CBN Anchor Borrowers Programme in FCT, Kogi, Nasarawa and Benue States. A 1-year project for the mobilization of 1,000 farmers for the Anchor Borrowers Programme implemented by NIRSAL Plc --- (2018 – 2019).
Organizational Performance Improvement Needs Assessment (OPINA) and Organizational Performance Improvement Repeat Assessment (OPIRA). A 3-year USAID-FTF project funded by USAID and implemented by CNFA --- (2021 - 2023).
Determining the appropriate tariff plan for rice importation in Nigeria. A 5-months PrOpCom project funded by UK-DFID and implemented by SAII Associates/Chemonics -- (December 2009 – April 2010).
Assessing the Impact of PrOpCom’s Agriculture Policy Dialogue on State-level Policy Reforms in Nigeria. A 3-months PrOpCom project funded by UK-DFID and implemented by SAII Associates/Chemonics --- (March – June 2011).
Prepared over 500 bankable business plans and feasibility reports (with cash flows and financial projections) on agriculture and other business investments for customers of FCMB, Keystone Bank, Sterling Bank, etc under the CBN AGSMEIS programme leading to the disbursement of over N500million by the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) to customers of these Banks.
